Many people question the outcome of blood tests.  They cannot understand why these tests do not work.  For example the thyroid needs other hormones to make it work.  Many people are toxic to Thyroxine and feel very ill when taking it.  Many people cannot convert T4 into T3 because of low liver function.  HRT causes this downturn and many women become hypothyroid when taking pharmaceutical HRT. 

 

Diet is another aspect of causing low thyroid function.  If a person does not eat the right food on a regular basis this can cause the person to become extremely ill.  The cabbage family contains chemicals called pro-goitrins which means – causes goitres i.e. makes the thyroid swell and reduces function.  Starvation and excess of carbohydrates also affect thyroid, mood and hormone function.

 

Not everyone is the same - each person should be tested to see if their medication is working, to have a food check, (not everyone can eat the same things), and to have a hormone balance check.
